ABOUT KEN

My name is Ken Campbell, which is why I called my website the Campbell Collection.

I've been taking photographs for about 17 years, so this collection of pictures is a small portion of all the images I have "captured" over the years.

I've been living in Michigan since 1989, but I was born in Greenock, Scotland, hence the large number of Scottish pictures featured here.

Finding Beauty
I call my photography "finding beauty", because I can see beauty in just about any situation, just looking around wherever I happen to be at the time; there is always something interesting, whether it is the light, or a texture, colour or shape which catches my eye.

This can make driving with me an interesting experience , since I am usually more interested in what is along the side of the road, rather than what is on the road itself !

I usually drive on the "back roads", rather than the highways - this makes for a longer journey, but a far more interesting one ; there are pictures every mile along the way.

Maybe that's my view of life - a long, interesting journey, with frequent stops to explore interesting situations !
